Are there any good pet store in the area POP, Sosua, Cabarete?
Range in supermercado Plaero(?) does not suit me.

You are correct T-Money, that is what it says, they moved around the corner and it is still a Pet Chop!

Guys, where can i buy Royal Canin, Akana, Eukanuba food for cats and wooden litter filler (like Cat's Best)? Clay ones are messy.

De La Cruz veternary clinic has a good selection as GringoGirl says. There is also a good supplier in the Brugal Plaza on the right hand side as you get to Puerto Plata.

for those interested...

I have to go back to Belgium for business beginning of January... and will be buying dog supplies for ourselves at wholesale prices (we were into that business over there, and still are with a couple of internetstores).

I'm quite willing to bring some stuff back, and sell it to you at regular european prices... which is still a lot cheaper than over here...

I will not bring cat litter or food, or huge beds, etc... lol... sorry guys...

we noticed a definite lack of snacks for our dogs...

would pet-owners here be interested in the dried pig ears, cow ears, hooves, etc...?
