Smith Augustine / Listin Diario
In a new development on the Haitian presidential transition council, Haitian ambassador in the Dominican Republic, Smith Augustine was chosen to be the representative of the EDE-RED and Historic Commitment movement, Le Nouvelliste reports. He replaces the resigning ambassador Dominique Dupuy.
Likewise, Le Nouvelliste reports that the government of Canada has chartered private helicopters to airlift its citizens to the Dominican Republic. France has sent a naval ship to transport its citizens to Martinique. France has also announced special flights to airlift its citizens.
