President Luis Abinader appointed a high-level committee to ensure smooth sailing for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. This is the first time a global event of its kind is held in the Dominican Republic
The event is scheduled to take place in venues in Santo Domingo and Santiago from 16 October to 3 November 2024. The hosting of the event in the Dominican Republic is a recognition to the strengths of the country as a sports tourism destination and its emerging soccer developments.
Sixteen national teams will compete, coming from all around the world.
