I know and use all of them. My problems are more around grammar and pronunciation.

Unfortunately, most of us born and bread in the D.R. mangle the verbs, too, one way or another:

If from the Cibao region, you might hear an 'i' instead of the required 'R': Tengo que trabajai ei vieine (trabajaR eL vieRnes).

Or if from other regions, you might hear an 'L' in place of the 'R': Tengo que haceL la tarea.

Or simply omit the 'R': Va a comenzá/empea llo(comenzaR o empezaR a lloveR).

Thank you for sharing this. I often wondered why it was difficult for me to understand Spanish when I went to other places within the country.
