Here it lists (in Spanish) what they have identified as Dominican authors that published something outside of the Dominican Republic. There are some short comings to this which includes:

a) It only covers Dominican authors in the diaspora from 1902 to 2012.
b) Obviously, many more Dominicans have published something outside the Dominican Republic since 2012. Who are they?
c) There are many more Dominicans that published works in the diaspora prior to 1902.
For example, a long time ago when I was quite active in finding old documents/books/etc that were no longer in print about the DR in colonial times and after its independence in 1844, I read about what was the first historian of Cuba. I don't remember his full name which was long, but he was a member of the Morel of Santiago de los Caballeros. That last still existin Santiago and elsewhere taken there by Santiago natives as they moved to other places. Case in point, the lawyer Yadira Morel, who now is in the USA due to alzheimers, was from Santiago. Lived for many years in New York City, then Miami and then returned to Santo Domingo where she lived until 1 or 2 years ago when her daughter, which lives in the USA, took her due to Yadira's advancing alzheimers where she isn't able to take care of herself anymore. The point is that there is an example of a Morel from Santiago that is now present in the USA. The first historian of Cuba was born and raised in Dominican Santiago and lived part of his adulthood in the 1600's. Then moved to Cuba and published the first book on the history of Cuba until then. Wouldn't that be a Dominican author in the diaspora?
The first Dominican to move to NYC was a guy from the 1600's. Why is he counted as Dominican and not the first historian of Cuba? They probably lived during some of the same years! The first person to use the term Dominican to refer to those native of what is now the DR was something Montoro during Osorio's Devastation in 1606.
d) There are many more Dominicans that have published works in various universities abroad that are not there.
e) There are Dominicans that either moved or were born in other countries not taken into account such as Canada, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, etc. There has to be Dominican authors in several or all of those places too.

Btw, this also includes Dominican authors that have published not in Spanish such as Manuel Florentino Cestero who is believed to be the first Dominican to publish in another language (in this case in English) with "The Dominican Republic and the Military Occupation" published in New York in 1920. This is not limited to Dominicans publishing in Spanish, rather anything published in any language by a Dominican.

* Several born in the DR, but grew up in the USA.
** One was born in the DR, but grew up between Africa (doesn't say what country) and the USA.
