Worse has happened a number of times on the stretch between La Cienaga and Encuentro on rt 5 in Cabarete.
Do you remember that one where a family had attended a funeral for a relative and were all killed on the way back. That was on that stretch wasn't it
That detail I was not aware of. There is one about every 6 months on that part of the road across from El Rocon Beach to Encuentro. One recently with two cars, but I did not hear about the injuries, The most infamous was a recently signed baseball player and his girlfriend died when hitting a tree at over 100 MPH.
Moto riders seem to think everyone has eyes in the front and back of their head and sides too.
Here's a tip - assume the car has no idea you are there.

He was from La Union. His name was Oscar Taveras and it happened during his rookie season with the St. Louis Cardinals.
His death impacted a lot of people however it did very little to stop the carnage on that notorious stretch of highway.
