Hola everyone,

I'm from Ireland. I've currently been here for almost 2 months.
My passport has been stamped for a 30 day tourist visa.

I would like to stay longer. Should I go to the airport and prepay some sort of fine as implied by this page:

https://www.migracion.gob.do/Menu/index/21

If I wish to return to the DR will my entry be affected by any overstay?

Gracias!

Hello, Thomas.

No, your overstay will not affect your return to the country. You could request an extension of your Visa as it would regulate your migratory status or pay the overstay fees at the airport once you leave.
