No it wasn't. It was an urban artist called 6ix9ine whose real name is Daniel Hernandez. He had been staying in Cap Cana in a private villa. He was doing TikTok videos to his fans from the lounge, just in case anyone (else) didn't realise he was famous.

Funny story, very slightly OT but hopefully will be allowed. I was in the lounge in Miami waiting for the BA back to London. Very beautiful looking black guy comes in, dressed very expensively, turned heads. He went and sat in the corner on his own, very much kept himself to himself. As boarding time approaches, very very large mama on the front desk makes an announcement "British Airways is paging passenger David". He goes up to her (I'm standing very close). "I think you called me". "Is your name David?". "Well my last name is David, my first name is Craig". Gosh, I though, of course he is Craig David the singer, who I thought was reasonably famous. Mama says to him "The airline has sent security staff to escort you to the flight. I guess you're someone very important". He says "Actually I'm a singer". She just smiles and says "Sorry I've never heard of you, but have a nice flight" and waves him off. He was mortified and just kind of shuffled off to the security waiting for him.
