The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecasts moderate rains for the afternoon for most of the country. Included in the forecast is the Caribbean coastal plain, the northwest, north, northeast, Central Mountain Range, and border areas with Haiti. Scarce rainfall is forecast for the Punta Cana area and other eastern locations due to a high-pressure system.

For Greater Santo Domingo, moderate rains are forecast for the afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures will prevail due to the warm east and southeast wind that is usual for this time of the year.
