Acento news portal has begun a series of articles with overviews on the presidential candidates in the Dominican Republic. A first article focuses on former President Leonel Fernández, who is running for his fourth term in government, now on the ballot of the newly created People’s Force political party.

Acento will continue the series with overviews on the three other presidential candidates that appear in the leading polls. These are Luis Abinader, for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Gonzalo Castillo for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and Guillermo Moreno for Alianza Pais (AlPais).
