Carmen Quidiello, the widow of the late founder of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Juan Bosch, died early Saturday, 19 December 2020 in the early morning at the remarkable age of 105. She died due to natural causes at her residence, according to her family members.

Most people expressed surprise she was still alive when learning of her death. Juan Bosch had passed away in 2001. They were married for around 60 years.

Carmen Quidiello was born in Cuba on 29 April 1915. She is known as a Cuban poet and playwright. She met Bosch in Matanzas in 1941 and two years later, in 1943, they married and had children, Barbara and Patricio.
