The Judicial Branch received a donation for the digital storage and backup of its data from the US Embassy.
The counselor of the Judicial Power, judge Bionni Zayas Ledesma said the donation makes possible a gigantic step towards the digital transformation of the justice system.
The Acting Minister-Counselor of the US Embassy, William Swaney, highlighted that the donation from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the US government provides a secure storage system to share, back up and quickly retrieve electronic documents. “This project will help the Dominican judicial system improve its effectiveness and strengthen accountability and transparency in its interaction with other agencies of the Dominican judicial sector,” he said.
