The Polígono Central area of Santo Domingo now has its Ochoa hardware store. President Luis Abinader was present for the inauguration on Monday, 14 June 2021. The hardware store opened at Av. 27 de Febrero almost corner Av. Tiradentes. Ochoa had a Santo Domingo location, but this was in West Santo Domingo.

The inauguration of the new store marked the 50th anniversary of the Santiago-based hardware store.

Félix García, president of the board of directors of Grupo Ochoa, emphasized that the business employs 2,000 in its stores located around the country. The flagship store is in Santiago city.
