The Superior Administrative Court (TSA) continues to favor entities whose actions and operations are questioned for irregularities. The TSA now has overruled the recourse that sought to stop the operations of a Seaboard floating barge located in the Ozama River. The recourse had been submitted by the Institute of Lawyers for Environment Protection (Insaproma). Armando Rodríguez, vice president of Seaboard, celebrated the ruling.
In another earlier decision, the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) had ruled in favor of the city government of San Pedro de Macorís. The Procurement Agency (DGCP) had revoked a tender that awarded a major garbage collection contract to a company owned by MLB baseball player Robinson Canó after citing major irregularities in the contracting.
