German contemporary muralist MadC (Claudia Walde) has left her mark at the control tower of the Punta Cana International Airport, the most trafficked in the Caribbean and Central America. MadC is known for her large-scale, outdoor artistic paintings.

Grupo Punta Cana says the work of art shows the warmth and culture of the Dominican Republic as it welcomes tourists. Speaking for Grupo Punta Cana, Jake Kheel, vice president of Punta Cana Foundation, says the German artist captured her vision of the country in the mural. He said that the artist created the exclusive design for the Punta Cana International Airport.

“This project aims to show our visitors a new experience, it is to share international culture with local culture, something different that you do not have in other places,” Kheel told Diario Libre.
