Vinci Airports’s Aerodom announced it now has available new space on the third level of the Las Americas International Airport for security and migration services for departing passengers. Las Americas is second in traffic in the country, only behind Punta Cana International Airport.

The new area becomes available as part of the expansion project of the central atrium of the passenger terminal. The airport now expedites security and migration processes at the new area that is fitted with five security inspection points with new X-ray machines and metal detector arches, 18 passport control stations and six self-service stations of the Automated Migration Control System (Auto Gate) of the Migration Agency (DGM). The automated system reduces the check-in time for Dominican passengers of at least 18 years who can skip appearing before a migration agent.
