Tourism Minister David Collado was in Chicago, Illinois, USA where he met with hosted an event with nearly 300 travel agents, tour operators and airlines to promote travel from Chicago and Orlando, Florida.

During his stay in Chicago, Collado also signed agreements of intent to promote inclusive tourism for people with disabilities with Laurel Van Horn, Open Doors director of programs.

“The United States continues to lead as a country of origin of tourists to the Dominican Republic. More than 40% of the tourists who visit us are from the United States, hence our efforts to strengthen these markets,” said Collado in Chicago, where he met with 150 travel agents and tour operators and signed important cooperation agreements.
