Senator Alexis Victoria Yeb downplayed the findings of the Procurement Agency that ascertained that his companies have benefited with government contracting. Nevertheless, Victoria Yeb said that the contracting is minor and is legal.

Victoria Yeb had on papers divested himself of Cristalia, a major pharmaceutical supplier, in May 2020, before swearing-in as senator for the province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez. That company won contracts for more than RD$470 million from the Dominican state.
