A delegation of the Carabineros of Chile is meeting on Wednesday, 5 January 2022 with President Luis Abinader and Interior & Police Minister Jesus Vasquez Martinez as part of local efforts to improve the National Police.

Director General of the Carabineros, Ricardo Yáñez Reveco came on Tuesday. Also on his agenda in the Dominican Republic is meeting with the director general of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then. He is scheduled to meet with directors of the Human Resources, Administration and Finance, Planning and Development and Prevention of the Police.

He is also scheduled to meet with the president of the National Drug Control Directorate, Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa.
