The Police reported one dead and at least 15 persons were injured in the collision of buses on the Boulevard Turístico del Este, near Verón in Punta Cana. The chief of operations of the Firemen in Verón, Mayor Bruno Benítez said among the injured were six Russian citizens.
The accident occurred between a Traumabapu urban commuter bus and a Premium Services tourist bus. The accident reportedly occurred around 6am.
The injured were assisted by agents of the Digesett, the Verón-Punta Cana Firemen and the 911 Emergency System.
