Aeroflot is flying on 3 March a round trip from Moscow-Punta Cana-Moscow to enable Dominicans in Russia to return to the country and Russians stuck in the DR return to Russia.

“Flights to Moscow may be used by citizens of the Russian Federation who are abroad, with round-trip tickets and who have already made the leg from Moscow,” a company statement says.

Aeroflot has canceled numerous flights to destinations in the United States and Latin America following the shutdown of European Union and Canada airspace to Russian aviation, the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) reports.

The European measures were taken after Russia launched a military takeover operation on 24 February in Ukraine.
