President Luis Abinader announced the Dominican Republic has broken the US$12 billion export mark. “This is the change, the profound transformation in all sectors of the country in favor of the sustainable and continued development of the Dominican Republic,” said the head of state during the presentation of the National Plan for the Promotion of Exports (PNFE) 2020-2030 at the Presidential Palace on Monday, 29 March 2022. Exports were US$12,483.3 million in 2021.

“I take this opportunity to extend a proposal and invitation to the private sector to continue accompanying us in our journey. Part of the success of this plan rests on the oversight, monitoring and active participation of each of you, with work and the unwavering will that characterizes us,” said President Abinader.
