Linedy Genao was chosen to lead Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bad Cinderella musical on Broadway in New York City. The new musical will begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on 17 February 2023 at the Imperial Theatre (249 W 45th Street, New York City). Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, 23 March 2023.

Linedy Genao had earlier performed in the Broadway musical, “On Your Feet.”

Bad Cinderella is the modern retelling of the classic fairytale. It is set in the exceptionally beautiful kingdom of Belleville. The times have changed. The 2023 Cinderella is no longer the damsel in distress who needs saving. Instead, she finds herself and her prince in new circumstances and they need to rethink what “happily ever after” really means.
