Judge Francis Yojary Reyes Diloné ordered 35-year old high school mathematics and physical education teacher John Kelly Martinez serve 12 months in pre-trial custody at the Anamuya Jail in La Altagracia province. He is the lead suspect in the death of 16-year old Esmeralda Richiez.

His cousin or nephew, 20-year old Ruben Morillo Martinez (or Rubiel Morillo Martinez) was ordered to appear periodically. Morillo Martinez’s name was mispelled and there have been differences in his ID in the prosecution file. His age or photo was not given.
