Paula Rodriguez recovered Maia, her beloved dog lost for three weeks at the Atlanta Hartfield International Airport. Rodriguez was flying to San Francisco, California with a stopover at Atlanta International Airport when US Migration decided she was not eligible to enter, despite her visa issued at the US Consulate in Santo Domingo.

She was traveling with her dog on board for emotional support.

The US Customs & Migration authorities decided Rodriguez should take the next flight back to the Dominican Republic, remaining the night at the airport detention area. But there she could not keep the dog. Delta said it would keep care of the dog and they would be reunited for the flight to the DR next day.
