Major League Baseball teams announced they have signed several Dominicans. Five received more than two million dollars. San Diego Padres grabbed Leodalis de Vries for US$4.2 million. Fernando Cruz signed with the Chicago Cubs and received US$4 million. Dawel Joseph received US$3 million from the Seattle Mariners. Adolfo Sanchez received US$2.7 million to play with the Cincinnati Reds. Joswa Lugo received US$2.3 million from the Los Angeles Angels.
