Dominican track fans will be able to watch Olympic sprinter Fiordaliza Cofil run in the upcoming Félix Sánchez Classic on 20 April 2024 in Bayaguana, Monte Plata.

The World Athletics ordered the athlete to remain out of international competitions until she can show 24 months with a level of 2.5 nmol/l (nanomoles per liter). The athlete was disqualified by World Athletics for the DSD rule (Differences of Sexual Development/Differences of Sexual Development, in Spanish), which prevented her from running in the Santiago de Chile Pan American Games in 2023 and disqualifies her for the Paris 2024 Games.

Her coach Jose (Ludwig) Rubio expects the sprinter to be ready to compete in the 2025 World Athletics Championships scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan.

Top-ranked Dominican track runner Fiordaliza Cofil’s main events are the 100 and 200 meters.
