The Fine Arts Film Festival Made in the DR is back at the Novocentro cinema. In its fourth year, the event is sponsored by Altice Dominicana. This year the showings are from 2 to 8 May 2024 at the Santo Domingo cinema on Av. Lope de Vega.

Advance tickets can be purchased online or at the Fine Arts box office from 30 April.

Zumaya Cordero, general director of Operations of Caribbean Cinemas and the Festival, said there will be special screenings, a short film competition, educational talks with prominent personalities in the sector and panels with leaders of the Dominican film industry for free.

Soraida Soto, vice president of marketing and communications at Altice Dominicana, said Altice clients get a 15% discount when purchasing their tickets for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday showings.
