One of the best interior designers of all times, Patricia Reid Baquero passed away on Sunday, 28 July 2024 at the Centro de Diagnóstico Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina (Cedimat) in Santo Domingo, after years of battling illness. She was the Altos de Chavon museum creator and in recent years had become a celebrated plastic artist.

In recent years, she was responsible for the interiors of the Las Casas del XVI boutique hotel collection in the Colonial City. She had her studio and home in the Colonial City, where she lived with her daughters Isabela and Meghan and her husband, Kevin Egan.

She literally grew up in the architecture workshop of her late father, leading Dominican architect William Reid, and among the rehearsals and artistic world of her mother, leading drama actress Margarita Baquero.
