Former president of the Senate and popular Z101 radio host Ramon Alburquerque had jumped the gun announcing two days ago that his fellow combative politician Guido Gomez Mazara had been appointed to the top position in Indotel, the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications. Then on Wednesday, 21 August 2024, the Decree 455-24 went public, making official the appointment as president of the board of Indotel.

After the premature announcement, the very vocal Gomez Mazara had appeared as guest at leading news programs saying his appointment was going through the normal channels.
