The Dominican Republic will play Ecuador in Santiago’s FC Stadium at 7pm as part of the 16 October 2024 opening games for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. This is the first time that a FIFA World Cup is played in the Dominican Republic.
In total, 32 matches will be played at the Santiago FC Stadium and the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo from 16 October to 3 November 2024.
Previous winner of the U-17 World Cup are Korea DPR, Japan, France, Korea Republic and Spain.
The teams are divided in four pools:Group A: Dominican Republic, Ecuador, New Zealand, NigeriaGroup B: Spain, USA, Korea Republic, ColombiaGroup C: Korea DPR, Mexico, Kenya, EnglandGroup D: Japan, Poland, Brazil, Zambia
