Team Dominican Republic secured a first-time promotion and spot in the 2025 Gold Cup of the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League. The Dominican national football team defeated Bermuda on Tuesday, 19 November 2024 playing in Group D of League B at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros.

Overall, the DR finished in first place in Group D after the victory 6-1 over Bermuda. Team Dominican Republic was undefeated in Group D. Bermuda also secured a Gold Cup Prelims spot as the second-best runner-up from League B.

The Concacaf report on the game against Bermuda states:“Dorny Romero stole the show with four goals in stunning fashion as the Dominican Republic concluded the tournament with a 6-0-0 record.
