Coinciding with Arajet’s announcement of flight bookings opening between Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Newark (EWR), JetBlue has escalated the competition with its “Big Spring Sale,” offering some of its lowest fares yet. This move signals an intense fare war between carriers serving US-DR routes. Arajet is booking flights from SDQ to EWR as of 16 June 2025 with roundtrip fares starting at US$262.

This JetBlue sale comes on the heels of Arajet’s announcement of its inaugural flights from the DR to EWR. The airline is already flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico and flights to Miami, Florida begin in April 2025.
