Dominican Republic-based Arajet has just opened bookings for its first flights to the New York-New Jersey area. The airline will be flying from Santo Domingo (SDQ) to Newark International Airport (EWR) starting 16 June 2025. The flight is still subject to US government clearance.
An estimated two and a half million Dominicans live in the New York-New Jersey area.
The airline says the introductory flights will be 30% off the regular fares. The airline website posts fares of US$173 for the one-way flight, and fares of US$262 round trip are being advertised.
The introductory fares lower travel costs are US$127 for EWR to SDQ and US$135 for SDQ to EWR.
