Reports are that Dominicans have heavily booked vacation stays at beach and mountain destinations, this coming Easter Week (13 to 20 April 2025). El Dia reports that Tourism Minister David Collado has said that leading resorts will be operating at 90%.
Tourism Minister David Collado said: “We are full in Bavaro and Punta Cana, and there is high occupancy registered for Bayahibe. Samana is enjoying its best times and Puerto Plata, too. These are good times for the tourism industry,” he said.
Easter Week is also a time to be in cities, that usually empty out as city residents hit the resorts. Shopping is good with many sales and cultural activities also abound.
