The Dominican Republic is significantly advancing its energy transformation with 20 renewable energy projects currently in development. These will add 1,006 megawatts (MW) to the national energy grid.

This announcement was made by Energy and Mines Minister Joel Santos during his address at the business breakfast organized by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic (Camacoesrd), titled “Government Perspective on the Growth and Integration of Renewable Energies in the Dominican Republic’s Generation Sector.”
