Eliseo Zorrilla Gómez (Cheo Zorilla) was 75 years old when he passed away due to a stroke (ACV) on 8 June 2025.
His compositions are very part of Dominican cultural heritage. “Apocalipsis”, “Al nacer cada enero”, “Los hombres de rabia lloran” all are all part of a past generations’ mental Spotify.
Leading local and Latin American artists sang his songs, including Danny Rivera (Puerto Rico), Chucho Avellanet, Basilio (Panama) and Fernando Casado (Dominican Republic).
