President Luis Abinader and Director of WTO, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

After attending the 3rd UN Oceans Conference in Nice, France, President Luis Abinader traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in activities of the World Trade Organization. President Abinader was accompanied by First Lady Raquel Arbaje.

In Geneva he met with the director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. The Presidency reported that she commended the DR for its achievements in economic management and diversification.

During a meeting with President Luis Abinader at the WTO headquarters, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala congratulated the President on the country’s progress in areas such as e-commerce and environmental preservation.
