The Chamber of Accounts (Camara de Cuentas), the government’s leading auditing agency, is carrying out audits of the 2017-2019 period and 2023-2024 periods of the government-owned SeNaSa health plan manager, N Digital reports. The audit results would be available in September 2025.

The audits are taking place after claims of mismanagement affecting the finances of the entity. Meanwhile, government officers have stood behind the importance of the health plan management agency and its role.

Senasa has affiliated millions that otherwise would not have health plans, enabling them to receive regular services at leading public hospitals.
