Interior and Police Minister Faride Raful announced during her weekly Monday press conference on 14 July 2025 significant reductions in both homicides and robberies across the Dominican Republic. These positive trends are attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Security Task Force.

Minister Raful shared these updates following a meeting of the Citizen Security Plan follow-up committee, which was led by the Vice President Raquel Peña, at the National Police Headquarters.

Raful reported that the national homicide rate has fallen to 8.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, showing a consistent downward trend.
