A 30-year old believed to have mental issues killed a 70-year old neighbor and injured several others in the Naco Dorado IV residential complex off Av. Tiradentes on the afternoon of Wednesday, 23 July 2025.

As reported, 30-year old Jean Andres Pumarol Fernandez used a sharp object to stab at least four people, resulting in multiple injuries and the death of 70-year old neighbor Yolanda Handal Abugabir. The incident took place at around 4pm at the Naco Dorado IV residential complex, where both the victim and the attacker reportedly lived.

Witnesses and residents said the young man appeared to be in a state of mental distress when he launched the attack, killing the 70-year old and injuring another five persons, including his own father, 62-year old Guillermo Pumarol Castellanos.
