Tourism Minister David Collado officially was in Samana on Friday, 25 July 2025 for the inauguration of the newly repaired and illuminated Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó Street in Las Terrenas, Samaná. The road follows the beach-studded coastline all the way to Playa Las Ballenas, on the western side of Las Terrenas.

The renovation work focused on repairing the existing paving in deteriorated areas, stretching from Pueblo de los Pescadores to Golf Project Street. Additionally, 2.45 kilometers of Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó Street were illuminated with the installation of new lighting fixtures and aluminum poles designed to resist salt corrosion.

Minister Collado stated that this project is part of the Ministry of Tourism’s ongoing efforts to intervene in various tourist enclaves, thereby making a positive impact on local communities. “Interventions like this benefit visitors...
