With a promise of transparency and good governance, President Luis Abinader officially enacted the new Public Procurement Law 47-25 on Monday, 28 July 2025. President Abinader signed the bill into law at the headquarters of the General Public Procurement Agency (DGCP) in the presence of DGCP director Carlos Pimentel. The Presidency says this law marks a pivotal moment in how the Dominican state manages its resources, promising a significant transformation in public administration.

“Today is an important day for the Dominican Republic,” stated the President in the official press release. “A day where we reaffirm, with actions and not just words, this government’s unwavering commitment to transparency, efficiency, sustainability, and the strengthening of our institutions.”
