The Abinader administration’s Transportation Cabinet has decreed the start of the Third Phase of the No-Left-Turn program aimed at reducing traffic jams in the Greater Santo Domingo area. All this is a part pf the “DR gets Moving” initiative.

Over the weekend, signs were up indicating no left turns on such major streets as Abraham Lincoln, and Winston Churchill. Maximo Gomez is also part of the new measures.

As usual, the agencies have indicated alternate ways of achieving access to the desired crossroad. This usually entails making right turns into neighborhoods.

In its analysis of the previous measures on Tiradentes and Lope de Vega, the cabinet says that traffic has improved by more than 30%. Take note that this is summertime when the schools are out.
