Chamber of Accounts of the Dominican Republic (CCRD) president Emma Polanco Melo announced the streamlining of the submission of sworn asset declarations for government officials. She says the modernization initiative is part of the institution’s digital transformation strategy.

Government officials are obliged to report their worth when entering the position and then when leaving.

“Our goal is to offer citizens a more efficient, transparent, and accessible service, putting technology at the service of accountability,” Polanco Melo said.

She added that the new tool was developed based on feedback from filers and is built on five core principles:• Reducing unnecessary fields to align strictly with Law 311-14.• Assigning a unique number to each declaration for better tracking.• Providing access to an asset summary to reinforce transparency.• Creating complementary tools...
