President Luis Abinader formally received the letters of credence from seven newly accredited ambassadors to the Dominican Republic during a ceremony held Wednesday, 20 August 2025 at the Presidential Palace.

Accompanied by Vice President Raquel Peña and Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez, President Abinader welcomed the diplomatic representatives, who will serve as official envoys of their respective nations: Spain, the Republic of the Congo, Albania, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Kenya, and Poland.

The credentials ceremony took place in the Hall of Ambassadors, where the new ambassadors were received in a formal diplomatic setting. All of the appointed diplomats bring extensive experience in bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, having previously held positions in international missions and foreign affairs ministries.
