Are you a fan of merengue, bachata, salsa, rumba or son? People are giving good reviews to Lungomare, the Santo Domingo Sheraton restaurant lounge on the Malecon as a place to go to listen to live tropical music and do some dancing, too.
There is a steady stream of live performances.
On Wednesdays, there is karaoke from 9pm.
As a sampler, on Fridays in August, Johanna Almanzar and her Rumberos la Banda performs live as of 9pm.
The good news is that admission is free.
