In coordination with the Dominican Society of Infectology, and on the occasion of the International Day Against Dengue on 26 August 2025, the Ministry of Public Health relaunched its campaign: “Let’s Beat Dengue.” The campaign has been successful in reducing cases and deaths in 2024 and 2025. The effort is a joint stand in favor of preventing diseases by educating the general public.

The Ministry of Public Health under Minister Victor Atallah has been characterized for successful prevention efforts all year round. The relaunching of the dengue campaign comes with the slogan: Eliminate, Clean and Cover, key words that refer to the three effective ways of eliminating breeding grounds for the mosquito that transmits the tropical disease.
