The Economic and Social Council (CES) has presented President Luis Abinader with its final report with recommendations on how to deal with the Haitian crisis and its implications for the Dominican Republic. The consolidated document, the result of a six-table dialogue involving a wide range of national sectors, was handed over at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

The report, titled Final Consolidated Report of the Dialogue on the Haitian Crisis and its Implications for the Dominican Republic, emerged from discussions among representatives from the social, labor, business, and organized civil society sectors, as well as delegates from the President’s office and the three former Presidents.
