The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has named Nathalie Alvarado Vega as its new representative for the Dominican Republic, effective 1 September 2025.
A Colombian national with over 25 years of experience across Latin America and the Caribbean, Alvarado is an expert in institutional strengthening, with a focus on citizen security and justice. She holds a law degree from the University of Lausanne and a master’s in Economic Integration Law from the Free University of Brussels.
